Hello everyone! Today I finally received my new Kikki K Ice blue planner in size Medium. I've never had a Kikki K planner, been using a Filofax a5 domino for quite some time! My Filofax served me very well but I needed something I can carry around in my bag so I've decided to try Kikki K medium size, as I knew they make some really good planners! Now, when it comes to Kikki K, it's all about quality. The brand is well known for their leather, strong products, and that's exactly what I wanted. The designs are really pretty and can be customized just as any other binders.
Delivery
My planner was dispatched almost the same day (I've ordered it late at night, and received an email about dispatch the next morning!) The package reached UK borders 2 days later and got stuck at customs. Now the most important thing you need to know, if you order your Kikki K and you live in the UK is: You will need to pay customs charges. I was prepared for this but I know many people doesn't know about it and then gets the sad surprise. The charge is between 20-25% of your overall package value + you need to pay ParcelForce handling charge as well. My delivery was worth 48 pounds (planner + delivery cost), so I had to pay £12.80 VAT + £13.50 ParcelForce charge. After another 3 days I received a tracking notification, that the package was delivered to ParcelForce depot and so I straight decided to call them for my reference number instead of waiting for my letter to arrive. You can do this as soon as you know your parcel is at their depot and this makes the whole delivery much faster. After online payment, I received planner the next day. Overall delivery took 7 days. Not bad!
Unboxing my Kikki K Ice Blue planner
The planner was properly secured with air bags. It was additionally packed in a Kikki K box. Inside the box, the planner was also wrapped in a tissue paper.
The planner is made of perforated leather and is in a pretty light blue colour. It features button closure, elastic pen holder, card pockets on the front and notepad slot at the back.
It also includes 7 blue dividers and Kikki K inserts such as:
2 sheets of label stickers, 18 month calendar, "To do" pages, Meeting notes pages, simple lined pages. I will be creating inserts by myself so I will not use them, but if you are new into planning, you can customize the pages very easily!
The rings are quite big so it means you can fit a lot of inserts (Good!), they also seem very good quality (Not to mention pretty golden colour).
Overall, this is a beautiful quality planner and I am glad I've ordered it (I'm not even that mad about the customs charges!) It's stylish and the colour is really pretty. It's big enough to fit everything you need in it but also small enough to be carried around in your handbag. If you are looking for a planner that will last you for a very long time - That's the one to go for!
In the next post I will show you how I set it up and decorate it + I will attach some free printable inserts for your personal/medium size planner!
